Sure! Why not?
This came from Sukandar Kartadinata in Berlin, who just installed the eWhammy on a nylon-string solidbody, a guitar where a traditional vibrato system is simply not practical. It turned out to be an ideal fit, especially in a DSP-driven setup where sensor-based control is already part of the instrument.
What makes this especially interesting is how naturally the eWhammy extends beyond pitch bending. In Sukandar’s early experiments, it was used not just for vibrato-style control, but also to detune individual partials for a gong-like effect and to shape distortion in real time. That is precisely the kind of expressive control we hoped to open up. The familiar feel of a whammy bar also makes it more tangible for the player and more relatable for the audience in a live setting.
