One of the most frequently asked questions is how to connect the Nu Multi to Roland gear. There are many ways to do it, from the simplest to the most elaborate, but at the very least, it’s as simple as connecting channels 1-6, ground and V+ to their counterpart connections on the GK-3. You do not even have to go through the Internal Breakout.
To do this, you can directly solder the wires to a 13-pin DIN connector, or the Roland GK ribbon connector. Optional, but Ideally, you might want to use another connector: a 10-position, 5×2 2mm header connector like the one in image at the right. You can get this from online electronics stores such as Mouser (part no. 538-87758-1050). That way, you have a flexible and easily serviceable internal cabling system. I suggest heat-shrink tubing for each soldered pin, but I’m pretty sure you know that already 🙂
